I started teaching yoga/meditation because through my own study of it, I have experienced unshakable faith.
In 2005, I had a good education, steady work and a supportive network of family and friends ‐‐ I was set. Yet, I found myself feeling unbelievably stuck. I had worked hard, played by all the rules and I was now disenchanted with my life. I felt ashamed ‐ if I had it this good and still couldn’t be happy, what was wrong with me? And if (by some miracle) I figured out what would make me truly happy, how would I get there? What did I have to offer?
In 2006, I met a teacher who seemed to be everything that I felt I wasn’t. YET her message was actually, “You ARE enough – MORE than enough. Just as you are.” I fully immersed myself in studying yoga, meditation and the traditional medicine system of Ayurveda (translated as “the science of life.”) The practices kept me honest. They nudged me when I was avoiding change and revealed my tendency for procrastination. They guided me through growing pains when I was finally ready to move forward in my life. To this day, when I'm feeling lost and indecisive, these practices lead me to the quiet, powerful wisdom inside of me.
If you struggle with doubt, disillusionment and restlessness and are looking for tools that can help you remember (again and again) how to listen in and trust what you hear, it is my sincerest hope that you will enjoy these writings, guided meditations, and online coursework. They are mine to share, though they are here by the grace of many teachers and mentors who came before me. Listen to a free, self-paced, online course to decode your strengths and vulnerabilities through Ayurvedic wisdom or enjoy guided meditations on my audio blog and through the international meditation app Insight Timer.
